We are Girl Scout Troop 819. We have been a troop since we were Daisy's
- we are now Juniors. We are in Tierra del Oro Girl Scout Council in
California. We have 9 active girls in the troop, we are Tonya, Jolene,
Ashley, Stacy, Christa, Jennifer, Zamantha, Kelly and Brittany. Some of
the fun things we've done this year are: camping, an overnight at one of
our Council's cabins, a trip to Angel Island (in San Francisco), a trip
to the Zoo, we are going to tie dye t-shirts at our next meeting and go
on another camping trip in August. Some great service projects we've
done are: an "Ugly Quilt" which was made into a hugh sleeping bag for
the homeless; "Operation Children Helping Children" where we sent "care
packages" to the children in Bosnia; contributed items for Christmas
Stockings for teenage mothers in a maternity home; and a couple of food
drives. We have lots of great stuff planned and will be planning more
at our annual "Planning Meeting" in September/October.
