Here's what we have planned - but things will probably change :) :) It's being updated as we plan each term.
Term 1 1998
February / Pepuere
05 Feb - Welcome back meeting
We only had two girls at Guides as it was the Thurs before a long weekend. We did a bit of group planning for the term but had a shortened meeting.
12 Feb
Made paper peads for bracelets etc - rolled triangles round skewers, glued down and varnished with nail polish. It was Megan and Alexandra's first night at Guides.
19 Feb
Outdoor clauses at a local park - mapping skills and plant recognition
Sunday 22 Feb - Thinking Day
We had a Division Thinking Day picnic - with families there. We played games, made kites, had a short Thinking Day ceremony where we made a coin trail and then we ate saveloys.
26 Feb
Erm - I got beind in writing this up and we can't remember (or work out from the records :( ) what we did this week. The week has just vanished although we are sure we had fun!:)

05 Mar
No Guides because of upcoming camp.
12 Mar
Learnt how to whip to finish off Junior Camper's badge for the girls who needed it. Did some balancing games and other fitness clauses.
19 Mar
Enrolled Elizabeth Cameron and had a little supper to celebrate. Also did some soap carving and made a sea scape with fishes and icebergs and ships (guess which movie was popular at the time :) )
26 Mar
Visited Te Papa. It was fun even if it was over-run by scouts the evening we went!! *grin*

We made Pysanky eggs for Easter. Patrol time was spent planning to complete Fitness Patches.

Term 2 1998
30 Apr
Played board games that the girls liked as part of their fitness patch - also a game that Kate M had made up about Guiding history. We also played co-operation squares and did some faith clauses.

07 May
We made birds feeders out of milk cartons as a lifeskills clause and did some other catch up clauses and looked at clothes labels for washing instruction symbols.
14 May
Cancelled Guides. We had planned to go rock-climbing this week but had half the unit sick - postponed trip 2 weeks.
21 May
A lot of the evening was taken up with the girls acting a Maori legend for Patrol time - or rather with a lot of mucking around planning it. We also grew sugar crystals and did a Guiding Unit Heritage Challenge clause - dressing 2 girls up in Peace Scout uniforms made out of newspaper.
28 May
We went rock-climbing at Ferg's indoor rock-climbing wall. Everyone had a great time!!!
June / Hune
04 June
Did some Heritage clauses - learnt about the NZ flag and made a flag "puzzle, and talked about different styles of house in NZ and what the range of styles could tell us about NZ. Patrol did some dances for their fitness patch.
11 June
Held a night where we did fitness clauses - juggling, traditional Maori games and Kim's games.
18 June
Enrolment for Sophie, Emily and Laura. Night walk - and scroggin mix :)
