Brownie Troop 406 Banks, Oregon U.S.A. Columbia River Girl Scout Council

We are a troop that started two years ago. Some of us have been in the troop both years, and some of has have been in the troop for a year. We also have three new girls joining our troop this year. There are nine, first, second, and third graders in our troop. We also have a fourth grader that joined us last year & will be with us one more year. Our leaders are:

Linda who has been with us two years & Robin who has been with us a year. We've been busy & had lots of fun the last couple years. Here are some of the things we've done: * Was a guest on the Ramblin Rod T.V. show * Visted a local pumpkin patch * Went Christmas carolling * Sold lots of cookies * Had two swim parties * Went to the Omsi Almost overnight * Spent the night in a cabin at the ocean * Attended summer day camps W e also did a number of service projects in our own community and elsewhere: * We delivered poinsetta's to the elderly and shut-in at Christmas * We bought and donated some food and school supplies to a local school that was damaged by the flood waters we had * Made and distributed (door hanger) May Day gifts at a local nursing home * Made and sent cards to a Brownie who was in the hospital and to a Girl Scout family who lost all their stuff in a fire. We've earned these try-its so far: Around the World Art to Wear Creatvie Composing Earth is our Home Girl Scout Ways Manners Math Fun Music Outdoor Fun Puppetts, Dolls, & Plays Safety Space Explorer The main objective in our troop is to have LOTS OF FUN while learning and doing new things !!! We are very excited to host several troop mascots this year. Our schedule will be posted here when it's complete. We hope to have our own mascot set-up & ready to travel sometime this year.
