We have been busy this year already. We've earned 4 try-its so far and have 2 more almost completed. We have gone on our first "campout" at our council cabin Janette Polley. For some of the girls this was a first night away from home. Everyone had a lot of fun, so much fun in fact we are already planning a campout there in February. We hope to snow shoe this trip if it is not too cold.
Duluth, MN had the privilege of breaking two records last winter. The first was the coldest temperature set in Duluth - it was recorded at -50F (and that was before wind-chill). We also had the most snow record broken last year at over 136 inches of snow. Luckily that was snow that fell not a measurement of what was on the ground, even though there was plenty on the ground.
For December service projects, we are working on a food drive for the local food shelf, and we have adopted a child from a local agency list to buy a present for. Our Troop Christmas party will be celebrate by having a bowling./pizza party with Junior scouts that have flown up from our troop.
We are currently into patch trading (we want to get a camp blanket together before Thinking Day). If you are interested in trading patches with us, please e-mail us at
